There are a lot of hotels in Zhang Jia Jie. Some near Tianmen Mountain, some near Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Some hotels did not include breakfast. After a thorough research, I got this as one of the best you should consider in your journey as the most budget, value worth hotel – Jiezhi Xiangxi Love Hotel (Tianmen Mountain Yangyun) – 界止 湘西之戀酒店 (天門山養雲店)
Hotel room
I received a free upgrade to a river‑facing room. The space is large, clean, and the air‑conditioning can be adjusted to suit your preference. Interestingly, some hotels only install air‑conditioning monitors for show, but here the system is fully functional.
Two free water bottles are provided per day. Staff will tidy up your room every morning and refill anything that’s needed in your room. Besides, you can ask for more supplies from the staff.
Hotel Car Park
For those who are not driving, you can request the staff to fetch you from the high-speed rail station.
Limited car park slots available in front of the hotel. If you rented a vehicle, you likely need to drive down the basement. The basement car park is located around 10 meters in front of the hotel.
The hotel allocated car park slots are limited and difficult to find. There was no direction to tell you where is their park slot. The place is VERY dark and you can get lost easily. It’s advised for a car park reservation if you are driving.

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park South Gate – Around 20 to 30 mins ride.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park North Gate – 1hr – 1hr 30 mins ride.
Nearby food
Breakfast is included in the package. Kids below 18 years old are free of charge. Food is decent. Sausage, bread, noodles are available. It saves you time going out to find breakfast.
Recommended dinner at 老妈下饭菜.家常菜三下锅(南庄坪). The restaurant is just at the back of the hotel. Only Chinese speaking is available over there.
Nearby Convenient Store
Located at the back of the hotel. It’s diagonally opposite of the recommended restaurant. Surprisingly, some stuffs are cheap. It’s a good place to refill your supplies for your journey and even supper.
How to book online and conclusion
It’s the most value worth hotel as kids’ breakfast are free of charge as well. I book this hotel via Trip.com, for average HK$308/night.
Most of the staff can speak English and Mandrain. They will assist you in planning your trip over at Zhangjiajie National Park and Tianmen Mountain.
