Each and every Tyrehood customers feedback that this model is the true value worth to install given the promotional offer for their sizes. (Promotional offer for PS71 in HK is just slightly more expensive than China brand)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most sizes offer A-B wet grip in the EU tire label, and above 71 dB external rolling noise. It was released in the early year 2025, and it received numerous good feedback from the EU and U.S. market. Given its low selling price but offering very high performance, it is definitely one of the considerations for your tire replacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Original price is slightly higher than its predecessor. Michelin Pilot Sport 5 (PS5, parallel imported for R17 and R18)<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If your vehicle size is 225\/45 R17, 225\/40 R18 or some other sizes, parallel imported Michelin PS5 (made in Europe) is the only one you will choose besides PS72. Nothing else. Its parallel imported price for 225\/45 R17 lowest is HK$950\/tire, and highest is around HK$1050\/tire. The price for 225\/40 R18 lowest is HK$1000\/tire, and highest is around HK$1100 &#8211; $1150\/tire<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even Falken FK520 price (in HK selling around $1000 &#8211; $1050\/tyre for 225\/40 R18) cannot beat such selling price. I believe it is a no brainer to choose Michelin over FK520 for the same price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tyrehood customers feel that Pilot Sport 5 gave a better traction performance than Continental SportContact 7 especially in rainy days. Falken FK510<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When it was first released, you can spend the same amount for one Pilot Sport 4 to get two pieces of Falken FK510. FK510 performance is way much better than its older model FK453. 8 out of 10 Tyrehood customers were impressed by its performance. Drivers praise for its good in wet and dry performance. My friend&#8217;s vehicle (Toyota Noah) was convinced by me to get FK510 rather than Michelin PS4. And the feedback is: GOOD! Ever since, these customers are no longer reaching out for top brands thanks to FK510.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nonetheless, the falling price of parallel imported Michelin, Bridgestone and Continental became more price competitive (for R17 &#8211; R18). Ever since the release of FK520, only fewer sizes were available. Falken FK520L<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Successor of FK510. Its noise level is lower than the old model given by the comments of Tyrehood customers from those who have used FK510 before. That&#8217;s it. But the price for FK520 is higher by around HK$50 &#8211; $100\/tire<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although it is not price competitive in the R17 &#8211; R18 range compared against parallel imported Michelin, Continental and Bridgestone, its R19 and above is still much cheaper than those top brands. Nevertheless, its pricing sometimes is higher than original pricing of Dunlop Sport Maxx 060+. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both models are manufactured by Japan Sumitomo Factory. Falken is market positioned as more high-performance category whereas Dunlop is positioned as premium comfort brand. But the release of 060+ and FK520, I no longer see any difference between the two performance model. Market positioning seems to be blur, especially the latest Dunlop model is released. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A recent market strategy released by Japan Sumitomo that it will be focusing Dunlop as premium global brand. Yokohama V701<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With a directional tread pattern. This tire has an excellent wet performance, better than Falken FK520 according to a Tyrehood customer feedback. A recent Mini cooper EV driver is also impressed by this tire performance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tire is released since 2016. Proxes Sport 2 offers high performance with no issues in your normal day driving. It can offer higher speeding performance as well.
