Day 1 : Kaohsiung
Day 2 – 4: Green Island
Day 4 – 6: Hualien (Ruisui), (Qixingtan)
Day 7: Kaohsiung

Qixingtan (aka Crescent Bay) is one of the recommended places for visiting. It got a long cycling lane along the seaside that can take you one day to ride along. You can also ride all the way to Hualien Fishing Harbor. Getting around Qixingtan, one of the best place to stay for a night will be Hotel Bayview, which have rooms looking at the Pacific Ocean.
Accomodation – Hotel Bayview
Ocean view room isn’t that expensive as compared to many others that I have stayed. The room package include breakfast and bicycle rental (free of charge) that allows you to ride from the hotel to the Fishing Harbor and along the seaside. With good weather, you can look at Pacific Ocean sun rise in the room.
Important reminder to ask for a lock for the bicycle. There is a need to lock the bicycle when you head over to the fishing harbor such that you can go up to the tower over there.
We cycle to the fishing harbor this time. It can take one afternoon for the whole journey including photo taking and meals. It isn’t one straight route to the fishing harbor. In a particular area, you need to carry the bicycle up and down the staircase.
There are only a few restaurants available at the harbour. You still need to head back to the city main area by cab or bicycle to get more varieties for dinner.
Take note it is illegal to take away any stones from the beach.
